Re: Antonio at Right Back.
Take note Bilic, Antonio is also good in the air, don't ever play him at Right back again.

As l just posted on the wrong thread..........

Where are the coaching staff regarding Antonio ? How come it's the senior players voicing their opinion he should be playing right wing? Dicks and the others surely should be telling him ?

Hat trick tonight, then everything be rosey..

We're the ones that watch him caught out of position on a regular basis.

Being able to tackle doesn't make you a defender.

The right-back debate

It has become THE hot topic on social media in recent days – Michail Antonio and the right-back position.

Antonio himself grew up and developed his game as a powerful, direct, attacking winger or forward, but manager Slaven Bilic clearly spotted the attributes of a top-level full-back in his No30.

Whatever the future holds, Antonio has speed, strength and the ability to tackle and head the ball with aplomb – all traits that suit the full-back position. Bilic has shown time and again that he has tactical acumen and the ability to judge his players’ attributes, so who are we to doubt him in this instance?

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
I think antonio would be a potentially good striker, he has raw power and talent. If he could improve his finishing to aguero standard he would be probably one of the best strikers in the world up there with suarez.

Tonight we will see Antonio where he belongs.
Byram and Burke will take back duties.

Antonio Hattrick it is!

This is not working.

Can anyone on here, hand on heart say it is?

We have a good manager, but even the best, are sometimes too blind, or stubborn to admit they are wrong.

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
Good news is he isn't playing RB tonight.

He's playing left back instead as the new chap is cup tied.

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
I'm a huge fan of antonio. I loved his effort last season. I think he's a great player.

I also think billic is a great manager.

I can see why he went to rb last season as he was the best of what we had at the time.

I'm just not sure why he's persisting there now that byram is fit.

He's not a defender. He's good at getting back to make a challenge and he did the best he could last season when stuck there.

Persisting with him is a mistake by billic. His lack of positional awareness is being targeted by opposition.

Remember how long it took billic to even give him a game in the first place.

I hope it gets sorted quickly as I'd love to see him rampaging down the wing again. (I'd even be tempted to give him a go up front)

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
they're your fucking words, I don't see bilic out in my post. just a response to people saying he's bought technically better players. from what I've seen of the ginger cunt tore, id rather have my pet tortoise out wide. he'd deliver more end product

I'm with you on this one, Miichael.

BILIC OUT!!

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
some go on about bilic liking technically better players out wide yet the cunt continues selecting valencia who fails almost every time. I can't remember a bad performance from antonio when playing right wing. id have antonio wide over any other squad player apart from feghouli

I am more interested in who won

Antonio for speed but Collins for the whack and clinches would be my bet

If it's true that they had a punch up, then maybe that's a good thing. That's what blokes should do when there is anger and frustration.

Get it out their system, wipe their mouth and move on.

I'm hopeful that this will all get sorted.

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
That's one of the reasons that fans are supporting Antonio. His attitude seems spot on since he arrived. No Billy big bollocks, just someone who wants to get his head down and work hard for his chance.

Apart from that, he scored 8 goals in 24 starts in the league last year. The manager is wrong, very wrong. Accept it.

Re: Antonio at Right Back.
Scraper, that's exactly what Antonio has been doing for the last 6 months.

No moans or groans from him, just getting on with the job.

Until now apparently. And I don't blame him.

Scraper 5:42 Thu Aug 18
Re: Antonio at Right Back.
It's time Antonio knew his place & put some trust in the manager. Fans harping on about it doesn't help either. Fan power and player power often leads to bullshit situations.

The way some go on, it's like they think playing Antonio at RW will will sort us right out.
